Writing scheme is dedicated to animaetd feature films at the concept and writing stages of the projects and intended primarily for cinema release.
After the establishment of specific development aid, Ciclic Centre-Val de Loire wishes to complete its measures in favor of animated cinema, with assistance for the writing of feature films. This involves responding to the need for funding for this crucial phase, and supporting authors, whose profession is often synonymous with precariousness. This aid therefore integrates a complete network of measures in favor of animated cinema whose objective is to create an environment favorable to the emergence of young talents and a new and attractive dynamic in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
The amount for writing for animated feature films is of €10 000 per project.
Development support is dedicated to feature films at the design, writing or development stages of the projects and intended primarily for cinema release.
Several phases of work can be considered at this step: graphic research, storyboard, animation test, animatic, pilot, etc.
This support concerns projects carried out by feature film production companies acting as producers or co-executive producers (upon presentation of a contract). The producer will have to take on the artistic, technical and financial responsibility of the project and be able to provide a contract for transfer of copyright, dated and signed, with the projects' author(s)/director(s).
The amount for development for animated feature films is of €25,000 per project.
Every animation technique is accepted. Writing & development schemes for animated feature films can be combined.
Ciclic doesn't organize specific call for projects. However, the program is based on the projects pitched at the Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux, CEE Animation Forum in Plzen, Annecy MIFA Pitches and Annecy development Residence for feature films.
